The ex-commander-in-chief of the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation, convicted of fraud, was scammed by scammers for 435k rubles - using a special application on the phone. He believed that in this way he would be able to remove information about his crimes from Wikipedia.

68-year-old Vladimir Chirkin received a call from an unknown girl, who told him about a cool opportunity to edit his story in an online encyclopedia. She proposed to remove the lines that in 2008 he received $ 20k for "solving issues", seven years later he was convicted.

It turned out that he deceived the bribe-giver, since he did not have the authority to keep the promise. The lady promised to remove it from the Internet. To do this, it was necessary to install the application on the mobile. Chirkin believed, did everything he was told, and then discovered that 435 thousand rubles had disappeared from the account.

Earlier, another commander of the Russian Ground Forces and Deputy Minister of Defense in 2003-2004, General Nikolai Kormiltsev, was deceived in a similar way. He gave the scammers 400k.
