Deliveries to the store chain stopped due to a cyberattack.

The American company Ace Hardware is investigating a cybersecurity incident that occurred over the weekend, due to which deliveries were disrupted.

Ace Hardware said that many of its key operating systems, including ACENET (the company's vendor directory), warehouse management systems, billing portal, and customer service center phone, were disrupted or suspended.

In a notice to suppliers, Ace confirmed that there will be no deliveries to stores on October 30 and 31. The company added that the impact of the incident on retailers POS systems and credit card processing is not known. The notification encouraged Ace stores to continue operating.

Website Acehardware.com it continues to work, allowing customers to search and view products. However, Ace will temporarily disable the orders feature to prevent a deterioration in the quality of customer service due to the inability to transfer orders to the retailer. The company continues to investigate and make decisions on restoring systems and operations.
