According to the security service of PrivatBank, during the verification of the facts of unauthorized access to customer accounts recorded by the bank using reissued mobile cards, a group of residents of Kryvyi Rih was identified, who are suspected of fraud. Fraudsters obtained passwords to the mobile bank and access to accounts by illegally reissuing the SIM card of mobile operators and seizing the client's mobile number.
According to these facts, an appeal was initiated to the Cybercrime Counteraction Department in the Dnipropetrovsk region and an application was filed for crimes under Part 3 of Article 190 (fraud committed on a large scale or through illegal operations using electronic computing equipment), Part 5 of Article 361 (unauthorized interference in the operation of information (automated) electronic communications, information and communication technologies).- communication systems),
