Someone lost contact, and someone found silence.
A massive failure of the Telegram messenger occurred on the night of October 30, 2023. DownRadar, a portal for monitoring the performance of services and sites, registered numerous complaints from users from the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Udmurtia, Stavropol, Volgograd and Voronezh regions who reported problems with the application.
Massive disruptions to the messenger were observed in the period from 2 to 4 o'clock in the morning, and the peak of reports of problems occurred at three o'clock. Users complained that the mobile app doesn't load, messages are either not sent at all, or arrive with a long delay. However, when using a VPN, the app worked stably.
The DownRadar service recorded a specific number of complaints from different regions: 159 from Krasnodar, 140 from Rostov, 69 from Izhevsk, 62 from Volgograd, 61 from Stavropol and 56 from Moscow. According to the "Crash.Russian Federation", for the specified night received more than 7.3 thousand complaints. Most of the complaints were from the Krasnodar Territory (27%), followed by Moscow (17%) and the Rostov Region (12%).
Users reported problems loading chats, images, and videos when working over the mobile network. Some of them reported that since the evening of October 29, it was impossible to be in Telegram, messages did not reach and were not sent, or they did it with a long delay. At the same time, I couldn't change anything in the privacy settings, because the corresponding page didn't load.
