The use of cards carries a serious risk of theft of money by a drop. The likelihood of such theft can be minimized by following a number of precautions when purchasing and using cards. These measures can be divided into two groups - card verification and card exploitation.

1. Checking the map
Before paying for the goods, the buyer is obliged to check it according to the following parameters:
1.1 Visual inspection.
The following parameters should be checked:
1.1.1 The card corresponds to the ordered one (that is, it is a gold visa, not a classic visa, for example).
1.1.2 The PIN code corresponds to the card, that is, the number on the envelope with the PIN code matches the card number. If there is no envelope, check the pin at the ATM.
1.1.3 There is all the data on the drop necessary to call the bank, that is, passport data and a code word.
1.1.4 Attached sim card. The SIM card number may or may not coincide with the one indicated in the questionnaire. In the latter case, everything is revealed when you call the bank.
1.1.5 You have all the data required to log in online. This clause applies only to those banks where Internet Banking cannot be accessed on their own.

1.2. Online banking check.
You need to do the following:
1.2.1 Log in to the Internet Bank using the attached username and password or the data you requested yourself.
1.2.2 If the username and password were attached - change the username and password.
1.2.3 Make sure that one-time passwords come to the attached SIM card.
4 Carefully check through the Internet Bank if the left SIM cards are not connected, for example, to a mobile bank.
1.2.5 Check if there are any additional cards.
1.2.6 Check if the cards have a history of operations, that is, if the cards for the drop have not been previously used by other customers.
1.2.7 Check if the drop has any credits.
1.2.8 If the Internet banking interface allows, put your SIM card for SMS notifications and delivery of one-time passwords.
1.2.9 Pay particular attention to the possibility of connecting a mobile application for smartphones. If there is no "connect" button in front of this service in the Internet bank, or there is a mark that the service has been activated, you must call the call center and ask to disconnect the service. Then call and ask to reconnect. Accordingly, the usernames and passwords for access will be changed.

1.3. Checking through an ATM.
1.3.1 Insert the card into the ATM, enter the pin code, request the balance.
1.3.2 Change pin codes. This will eliminate the use of dumps.
1.3.3 If the ATM interface allows, put your SIM card for SMS notifications and delivery of one-time passwords. This operation is done either through the Internet bank, or through an ATM, or it is not provided at all. more on that below.
1.3.4 Put 1000-5000 rubles on the card (the amount depends on the bank) and withdraw. If the withdrawal fails, the card is most likely on fraud monitoring.

1.4. Checking through the technical support service of the bank.
1.4.1 Call and ask a question, for example, about the card balance. They will ask for a code word. The goal is to check the correctness of the code word.
1.4.2 If it is not visible in Internet Banking which number the SMS notification is set to, ask the operator whether it is set or not, and if so, which number.

1.5. SIM card check.
1.5.1 If it is not possible to change the SIM card to your own either through an ATM or online, then call the operator and clarify whether there is a readdressing on this SIM card.
1.5.2. If the SIM card is "Megafon", check that the "SMS-plus" service is not connected. It allows you to read SMS remotely from another device. In addition, it is MANDATORY to enter the Service Guide personal account and check the UMS connection.
Only after checking the material for all points by the buyer, you can use the card. One day is given to check. If we are talking about lots of more than 10 cards, the term can be extended by mutual agreement.

2. Operation of the card.
2.1. Before each pouring of money on the card, repeat the points:,
1.2.3 (if the passwords on the SIM card do not come, you cannot fill in the money until the reason is clarified),
1.2.4 (the drop could change the number for SMS notification),
1.2.5 (could make additional cards),
1.2.7 (could take a loan),
1.2.9 (could connect a mobile application),
1.3.1 (could block the card),
1.3. 4 (the bank could put the card on fraud monitoring or the drop could take the payment order to your other card),
1.4.2 (if the number for SMS notification is not visible in the Internet bank),
1.5.1 (if you use a SIM card provided by the seller).

The detection of the aforementioned shortcomings is a sign of the preparation of the drop for the scam and is the basis for replacing the card.
2.2. It is recommended not to pour a lot of money onto the card at once. If the drop has come up with some clever way to throw, then most likely it will pierce and take away what is.
2.3. The buyer is obliged to withdraw money from the card as quickly as possible. The faster, the less chances the scammers have to find out that the money is in the account. The maximum period for keeping money on the card is 3 hours.
2.4. If there is a possibility, then in no case do not pour money according to a strictly defined schedule, for example, Monday-Wednesday-Friday. A potential scammer can ask the bank for details, find out the schedule and try to find out the moment of receipt of money by calling the bank.
2.5 Do not under any circumstances remove the SMS notification to enter the Internet Bank. Otherwise, it is difficult to detect the change of this number by a dishonest drop.
