The Moscow Prosecutor's Office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 19-year-old resident of Kaliningrad under Part 2 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - illegal access to legally protected computer information, if this act entailed blocking and modifying computer information, committed out of self-interest.

The court found that in January 2023, the convict, being at his place of residence in Kaliningrad, out of self-interest, expressed in the desire to steal citizens money by deception, illegally accessed someone else's account in the social network "Vkontakte", belonging to a 19-year-old resident of Elista.

After that, the convict from the specified account on behalf of its owner sent false messages to the girlfriend of the latter with a request to borrow money totaling 1010 rubles, thereby modifying computer information.

The prosecution presented irrefutable evidence of the defendant's guilt and the court sentenced him to correctional labor for a period of 1 year with a deduction of 10% of the salary to the state income.
