Hello, people!

Lately, it feels like a mausoleum chill is blowing from our once lively technical forums. Previously, life was seething here, there was an exchange of knowledge and opinions, and even more lively, there were disputes on the entire forum, communication - in short. And now? Silence..? And the dead with scythes, still post something (the same ones). Do you have this feeling?

It seems that the notorious AI is to blame for all this. Luddites, gather in a circle. Previously, people came here for knowledge and advice. And these soulless algorithms, trained on all the data from libraries and the Internet, now give answers to any sneeze. Why strain your brain, dig through forums, ask questions to living people, if you can ask the "all-knowing" bot? Now AI is your best friend.

Maybe it's not just about AI? Maybe we have no time? Do we need to closet up Prada, sail on yachts? And our society is also toxic, sometimes you come across such stifling people, permanently, that you don’t even want to stay on the forum at all. Or have people broken up into teams and simply moved to other, more convenient places for communication, and are driving their own little friendship circles there?

I have already seen how some forums become empty, degrade and then turn into an empty space. Now the admin is trying, throwing in 20 tons of greenbacks so that the movement is correct, but when the competitions end, you can’t find anyone with fire in daylight! Isn’t that so? The admin, an old man, constantly doesn’t let new people in. That’s how we come to this situation. Will the era of forums end or are real forums immortal?

Well, I’ll bend my opinion, aka philosophical. People go to the forum primarily for communication with other people (even if not directly, but through posts, comments, etc.), and this is a natural urge. I remembered a moment from the movie, remember in Interstellar when Matt Damon called everyone to the ice planet, which was initially unsuitable for life, and all because he simply could not stay and die alone. A person needs a person. All the best!
