In the Sumy region, the illegal activities of call centers with a weekly income of about 10 thousand US dollars were exposed and stopped. This was reported to the National Police.
It was found that employees of one of the call centers operating in the Sumy region, under the pretext of providing employment services abroad, fraudulently seized the funds of citizens. The cost of such pseudo-services ranged from 150 to 1000 euros.
According to preliminary data, the proceeds from criminal activity amounted to about 10 thousand US dollars in just a week.
During the searches, the police seized 78 pieces of computer equipment, 129 mobile phones, bank cards, starter packs of mobile operators and other material evidence that was used by attackers to commit fraudulent activities.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of reporting suspicion to persons involved in criminal activity is being resolved. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 8 years.
