The state corporation "Roskosmos" must conduct 148 launches of carrier rockets of light, medium and heavy classes in order to deploy the multifunctional orbital group "Sphere" by 2030. The relevant data is given in the preliminary launch program presented by Roscosmos at the end of 2019 at Skolkovo.

The grouping of the Russian system "Sphere", which is designed to be a response to the international systems OneWeb and Starlink (the FSB saw the danger of being connected to which the FSB saw), by 2030 should have 638 spacecraft, including 334 communication satellites, 55 navigation satellites and 249 remote sensing devices Earth.

As of the end of 2019, the entire Russian satellite constellation, including military vehicles, has 164 satellites, of which 92 are civilian.

According to Roskosmos's calculations, within ten years, to launch such a number of satellites into orbit, it will be necessary to launch 88 Soyuz-2.1b medium rockets, 36 Angara-1.2 light rockets and 24 Angara-A5 heavy rockets. At the same time, it was previously assumed that the entire orbital group would be deployed through the launches of 25 Angara-A5 missiles.

The presentation of the state corporation indicates that the missiles themselves will not be manufactured for the budget funds laid down in the Federal Target Program "Sphere". Who will pay for the production of missiles is not specified.

At the same time, according to the state procurement website, the cost of manufacturing the Soyuz-2.1b rocket is, as of the end of 2019, 1.5 billion rubles. The cost of "Angara-1.2" in prices as of June 2019 is 2.02 billion rubles, and the heavy "Angara-A5" in prices of 2018 is more than five billion rubles.

The Sphere project was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018. The forming projects of the Sphere system, along with the GLONASS satellite navigation system, Earth remote sensing systems, Express-RV and Gonets satellite communication systems, as well as Luch retransmission, will be the Marathon global Internet "Skif".
