The scammers convinced her that her contract with the mobile operator was expiring, and then forced her to transfer her savings "to safe accounts".

The founder of the band "Melnitsa", 48-year-old Natalia O'Shea, lives in Germany with her family. On August 28, she received a call to her Russian number, allegedly from a representative of a mobile operator, who said that she needed to renew the contract for services. Natalia agreed and dictated the code that came to her by SMS.

After that, Natalia received calls from various "specialists" for two days: from Gosuslugi, the Central Bank and law enforcement agencies. The scammers convinced the woman that because of the code from the SMS, which she called "just anyone", the money in her accounts was under threat, and they needed to be transferred to other, more "safe" accounts. Natalia believed and transferred 1.8 million rubles to the fraudsters. Now the police are dealing with her safe accounts.
