A wave of cyber attacks has swept Turkey due to political actions.

In recent days, Turkey has been the victim of a series of large-scale cyber attacks by two groups at once. LulzSec Black, in collaboration with Moroccan Soldiers, attacked the country in response to Turkey's actions against Syrians, according to the hackers themselves.

One of the first victims of cyber attacks was Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, one of the largest aviation hubs in Istanbul. The official website of the airport was taken down, which led to significant disruptions in operation and created inconvenience for thousands of passengers and airlines.

Hackers did not ignore the higher educational institutions of Turkey. Several major universities were hit, including:
  • Konya Selcuk University, one of the largest universities in the country;
  • Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, known for its engineering programs;
  • Izmir University of Economics, a private educational institution with a focus on economics and business;
  • Suleiman Demirel University in Ysparta, a significant educational institution in the region.

The attacks led to disruptions in the educational activities of thousands of students and teachers, causing significant inconvenience and problems with data security.

The Moroccan Soldiers group said it has successfully hacked several other Turkish websites and plans to reveal details within the next 24 hours. Hackers also threatened to attack Turkey's infrastructure and leak confidential data from various organizations.

Among the latest targets is the large Turkish energy company ODAS. Details of the attack and the scale of the data leak have not yet been disclosed.

The LulzSec Black and Moroccan Soldiers attacks represent a major escalation of the current cyber conflict that Turkey is involved in. Targeting key institutions such as universities and an international airport demonstrates the ability and intent of groups to create widespread disruption and chaos.

The situation raises serious concerns for the security of Turkey's data and infrastructure, as well as for the stability of important public and private institutions. The Turkish authorities and cybersecurity services are working to eliminate the consequences of attacks and prevent further threats.
