A resident of the Volgograd region is accused of eight counts of fraud committed with and against a popular marketplace. A 48-year-old resident of the city of Novoanninsk made purchases for unsuspecting residents of foreign countries. In the case were involved in including familiar men. To prove his involvement in the fraud, the police had to tinker with his mobile phone.

After that, he asked his friends for access to the personal accounts of the marketplace and started making purchases.
– Payment for goods was made by debiting funds from the accounts of citizens of foreign countries. The man received the received goods – household chemicals, clothing, electronics products-at the pick-up point and used them for personal purposes.
Surprised by their purchases in the regional center of the Volgograd region, foreigners turned to banks. The latter, in turn, returned money to customers, and the marketplace ended up being the victim.
– As a result, the marketplace was damaged in the amount of over 200 thousand rubles. Realizing that they were faced with a remote fraud scheme, representatives of the online store contacted the police – the police specify. – During the operational search activities, the suspect was identified and detained by the criminal investigation department.
Given that the crime was rare for our region and non-standard, additional evidence of illegal acts committed by this person was required.
- For this purpose, the investigators appointed a computer examination of the cell phone seized from the suspect, which did not contain any visible information about the man's involvement in the commission of fraud. In the course of the study, forensic experts of the Central Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs restored all deleted files confirming both the purchase of other people's bank card data and the purchase of goods in the marketplace. As a result, under the influence of the presented evidence, the attacker confessed to what he had done, – told in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region.
A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 1 of Article 159.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Fraud using electronic means of payment". Currently, it has already been sent to the court for consideration.
