I think i know the answer to this already, but just making sure....

If you are emailing a copy of a utility bill etc., does whoever you are sending it to have the authority to be able to check it with the company the bill is from?

I imagine due to privacy laws etc., even if they did contact them, then they wouldn't be able to get any info on customers or any details of the bill you have emailed, even (or, especially) if it is forged?

Didn't think so. So basically sending a copy of a utility bill is useless to them, since they can't check that its genuine, which is what i thought initially. Strange that they ask for it though if they can't check, my reason for asking, i suppose. :)

yeah i got a scan off a guy here, but i gaved him slightly the wrong info, so i'm going to re-photoshop it myself and send it. Its worth $500+ so hope it works, and just checking about them having the authority to check it out ;)
