Predator is a free program to lock your computer using a USB stick as a key. Predator allows you to lock your computer when you are away. It is enough to remove the key USB flash drive from the computer, and the computer will be locked from strangers until the same flash drive is inserted.
Principle of operation:
- Predator creates a key file on a USB stick.
- The program, after launching, at regular intervals checks for the presence of this key flash drive and, if it does not detect it, then locks the computer.
- It is enough to insert the USB key back and the system will automatically unlock.
- The key on the flash drive changes periodically, making the theft pointless.
- All events related to the program, including hacking attempts, are recorded in the logs.
- The task manager is disabled for the duration of the blocking, so Ctrl + Alt + Del does not work.
- In case of loss of a key flash drive, control can be restored using the master password, which is entered at the first start.
- An audible alarm is provided when the master password is entered incorrectly.
- Predator allows you to protect multiple networks with one key.
