Measures to expose and detain the attackers were recently carried out by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the GDNP in the Volyn region together with investigators of the Lutsk District Police Department, the department for combating cybercrimes in the Volyn region of the Cyber Police Department, with the power support of the special forces of the KORD, with the involvement of employees of the criminal analysis department and operational services of the GDNP P. The call center was established by a 33-year-old defendant living in Lutsk. He used to have experience working in a bank, so he understood how real bank employees act and talk when they call people. He involved 19 more people aged 19 to 26 years - almost all Volynians, the rest from Dnipro.
Men and women came to the call center as if it were a "job". All of them had methodological recommendations on how to "swindle" people for money, as well as ready-made answers to possible questions from citizens.
During authorized searches in the office of the fraudulent call center and at the place of residence of the organizer, mobile communication terminals, system units, workbooks with draft notes and other evidence of illegal activities were seized.
The call center, exposed by the Volyn police, managed to "work" for several days. Its activities were terminated.
According to the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, investigators are investigating criminal proceedings opened under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
