Mixed reality glasses have found themselves in a wide variety of applications.

Meta Virtual Reality Helmet* Quest 3 isn't the first to offer real-time color rendering of the physical environment, but thanks to the high resolution of the camera and the correct depth, the helmet doesn't cause motion sickness like other devices. Despite criticism of the function of mixing the real and virtual worlds, many users began to actively use the device in everyday life.

One of the developers, Tassilo von Gerlach, made chicken soup using the Quest 3 helmet. Connecting an iPad and the new ChatGPT image analysis feature, he picked up the recipe and opened it in the Quest 3 virtual browser window, while simultaneously watching a YouTube video.

The technical artist of the VR game Puzzling Places, Shahriar Shahrabi, used a helmet to watch YouTube videos while cleaning the house. This application of virtual reality can become popular because it makes it easier to perform routine tasks.

User Shiny Quagsire found an original use for the helmet, combining a video game and cooking, which became a reference to the modern culture of constant consumption of content.

YouTube blogger Brad Lynch decided to test the helmet in motion. He rode the bike in a Quest 3 helmet, despite all the warnings. Lynch noticed distortion at close range, but distant objects were displayed without problems.

At the New York Comic Con, artist and developer Jay Mayo tested the helmet in a crowded environment and was satisfied.

However, not all applications of Quest 3 were approved. A well-known Meta critic, Cix Liv, walked into a San Francisco cafe wearing a Quest 3 helmet, which drew mixed reactions.

The ability to open virtual windows and applications in real space can be revolutionary. Today, this is an innovation for enthusiasts, but in the future, such devices may enter the daily lives of millions of people.
