Strange posts attracted the attention of millions of users for several hours in a row.

Hacking user accounts and social media pages is nothing new. Even well-known personalities, including politicians and celebrities, have experienced such hacks, where scammers have posted promotional messages on their behalf.

However, a few days ago, on October 6, the official Facebook page *was hacked. A lot of strange publications, allegedly written by pro-Palestinian hackers, immediately began to attract the attention of users of the social network.

Among the various messages on the page was a post demanding the release of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was arrested in early August 2023.

There was also disapproval of the BCCI organization for not issuing visas to Pakistani fans for Cricket World Cup matches.

The Daily Mail, which first reported the incident, claims that several posts were posted before Facebook realized the problem. Later, the social network deleted all messages and published an official statement that the page was compromised.

It is noteworthy that this incident is not the first hacking of official Facebook accounts. In February 2014, an Egyptian hacker was able to delete a cover photo from Mark Zuckerberg's personal account. It is expected that later the social network will share additional information about the incident.
