In the UK, the case of a large group that traded in the sale of cocaine and firearms continues. The National Crime Agency of the country notes that, to divert eyes, the criminals organized a computer company and even made fleece jackets with its name - Clarke Computers and Software Limited.

Members of the organized crime group, including its leader, 36-year-old Craig Gallagher, were arrested shortly after a successful operation in 2020 against users of the secure messenger EncroChat. Gallagher himself was known under the pseudonyms Acidchest and Onion.com. Four of the eight arrested fully admitted their guilt in the distribution of drugs and the sale of weapons. As a result, Gallagher was sentenced, according to which he will spend the next 24 years of his life in prison.

Among other things, the head of the group admitted that he tried to broker the sale of firearms, including the AR-15 assault rifle, AK47, Glock pistol, Skorpion submachine gun and self-loading pistols. He also imported at least 100 kilograms of cocaine with a retail value of about £8 million and sold about 500 kilograms of cannabis in the Netherlands.

Gallagher's assistant, 41-year-old Christopher Van Maren, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He looked after the money and kept drugs in his house, but was not involved in the sale of weapons. Wesley Campbell, 39, who bought drugs from direct manufacturers and also managed the group's communications on EncroChat, is forced to prepare for the same period. 29-year-old Marcus Allen (Marcus Allen), who served as a courier, received 8 years in prison.

Another member of the group was convicted earlier. 41-year-old Kevin Boyle (Kevin Boyle) served as the "face" of the organized criminal group. In particular, companies and cars associated with members of the community were registered on it. He was able to convince the court that he did not know about the nature of the transported goods and naively believed that it was an illegal trade in contraband alcohol and cigarettes. In December 2022, he was sentenced to only 2.5 years in prison. Three more members of the organized criminal group will find out their sentences later.
