My net setup

dont know why u want to card a sim you can buy in any sweet shop.

think they can only locate which mast yr recieving, ie 500m radius.

heres a question, can you change your MAC address if using mobile broadband? because when i open command prompt and type 'ipconfig/all', the mobile broadband adaptor has the same physical address no matter what MAC address i use.

thats to technical for this forum i guess,

cheers anyway

Ok, best carded sim to use are O2 PAYG. This is what i use. Get the sim, pop it in an old phone and top it up with £15 with the UK cvv, MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE TEXT&WEB TARIFF!

Then put the sim card into your UMTS dongle and you are ready to surf anonymously. The IP address will be assigned to the nearest O2 server, and the only way of tracing it to you is using triangulation methods that would normally be used to trace a mobile phone.

Easy. Download Sun Virtualbox, create a virtual machine using a Windows install disk. Then connect to the internet with your host machine, then start your new virtual machine and if you do ipconfig/all you will see that the MAC address is assigned to the virtual driver adaptor and the UMTS dongle isn't even listed. This is because the virtual machine doesn't recognise USB connections unless you map them to be seen, but if you create the connection on the host machine it carries through to the virtual. Works a treat, i create a new virtual every couple of days :D

Yeah do that and +! rep me if it helps you out :)

good post pacman,

that triangulation is a bit worrying. how bulletproof are vpn and socks?

Triangulation will only narrow you down to the area between the (normally) 3 mobile phone masts, but they would only be doing that if they were conducting a big investigation into you as its not an easy or inexpensive process. So i wouldn't worry about it too much.

A VPN will ghost your IP to that of the VPN service, so you need to make sure the VPN is secure and won't share your details with the cops, etc. Also, i've found that sites i'm carding have banned the IP addresses of the VPNs i've been using so thats a bit of a pain in the ass. And Vodafone mobile broadband don't support the use of a VPN, or at least i can't get it to work with them?

SOCKS are always advisable to use, although i find them very slow and unreliable through a connection made using an USB/UMTS device.

Personally, i have three USB modems and use sim cards from 3 different networks, and by varying the sim cards with each modem (as well as creating new virtual machines) i'm able to use the sites i need to.

I also use an old PC for all my activity, which i will destroy when i think i've used it enough. Obviously i have a few more waiting to be used for the same thing ;)

WIFI still remains the best level. VPN's are untrustworthy are Cellular is still risky as well. If they want you, they will get you. But WIFI, they get a McDonalds :)
