A representative of one of the marketplaces contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Orekhovo-Borisovo District of Severnoye in Moscow, who said that during the internal inventory in the organization, a shortage of goods worth more than 2.5 million rubles was revealed.
Criminal investigation operatives conducted a set of operational-search measures, as a result of which they detained a group of young people suspected of fraud. They turned out to be four residents of the capital aged 20 to 22 years, two of whom worked at the pick-up point on General Belov Street.
It was established that in the period from June to September of this year, attackers, using fake accounts, ordered a number of goods on the marketplace, mainly clothes and spare parts for cars. Having waited for their receipt, the accomplices, having access to the organization's software, entered inaccurate information about the refusal of false customers to receive purchases and their return to the warehouse. At the same time, they stole the goods themselves.
Part of the illegally obtained was seized by police officers at the places of residence of the accomplices, as well as in the garage box of one of them. The accomplices sold the rest of the property to third parties by posting appropriate ads on various Internet sites.
An investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Orekhovo-Borisovo District of Severnoye of Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendants were chosen a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.
