The company has launched an investigation that will reveal the reason for the suspension of business operations.

American manufacturer of construction and structural materials Simpson Manufacturing, which is one of the leading manufacturers of connecting elements in the United States, reported a cyber incident that caused disruptions in the company's operations.

In response to the cyberattack, Simpson shut down all affected systems to prevent the attack from spreading. As a result of the incident, violations have occurred and are expected to continue in some areas of the company's business operations. Such long-term breaches are usually the result of hard-to-fix ransomware attacks that involve data encryption.

There is also a risk of data theft, which is a significant problem, given that Simpson Manufacturing is a leader in its industry and can own a large amount of confidential information. The company operates seven laboratories for testing new designs and materials and has more than 2,000 patents and trademarks.

At the moment, the type of cyber incident has not been determined, and none of the hacker groups has claimed responsibility for the attack on the company. Simpson Manufacturing engaged third-party specialists to help with the investigation and recovery. The announcement of the cyberattack has not yet affected the company's stock prices.
