I am working on a homemade reader and am having a hard time getting the exact placement of the magnetic head in line with the magnetic stripe. I have found that the three squares on the head don't line up with the stripe, but instead are offset. I know the tracks are all supposed to be .110 inches wide, but is there a specific placement for the magnetic head?
