Intimate secrets of 700 thousand people were leaked to a hacker forum.

Le Slip Français, a French online retailer specializing in the sale of men's and women's underwear, swimwear and various accessories, reported a cyber attack that resulted in the data of some customers being stolen. The company's products are entirely manufactured in France.

The incident occurred on April 15, as the company announced on its website: "As a result of a malicious cyber attack, which we were the victim of, the data of some of our customers, unfortunately, was stolen." According to representatives of Le Slip Français, account passwords and payment card details of customers were not affected.

The company said that the threat has been contained, and the situation is now being closely monitored to identify possible fraud cases and inform users if necessary. The incident was also reported to the French National Data Protection Authority (CNIL) and other judicial authorities.

Cybersecurity consultant Troy Hunt, who runs the breach data search site Have I Been Pwned, noted that the leaked data was discovered on a popular hacker forum about a week ago. The data was posted by a user with the pseudonym "shopifyGUY", who was also previously seen in the data leak of the Canadian company Giant Tiger.

According to Hunt, the leaked data contained information about almost 700 thousand customers of Le Slip Français, including their email addresses, names, phone numbers, physical addresses, information about purchases, as well as a total of about one and a half million emails.
