The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has developed recommendations for companies that face restrictions when using VPN services for remote access of employees or combining servers into one network. This step is aimed at facilitating the process of removing blocks by Roskomnadzor, which may arise due to restrictions on the use of VPN protocols.
If you encounter difficulties using a VPN, companies are advised to contact Roskomnadzor first. In most cases, lists of companies are transmitted to Roskomnadzor through relevant agencies. However, if the agency has not notified Roskomnadzor about your company, you can do it yourself by calling 8-495-748-13-18 or sending an email to [email protected] .
The request must specify the company name, the IP addresses used, and the types of VPN services and protocols used. After verification, Roskomnadzor will add the company's IP addresses to the "white list", unblocking access to the VPN for them. If problems remain after contacting Roskomnadzor, companies are advised to contact the Ministry of Digital Resources by writing to [email protected] .
It is also worth noting that from March 1, 2024, a new order is being introduced, according to which VPN services that provide access to sites banned in Russia will be blocked by Roskomnadzor in all markets.
