LC offers the UN a strategy for controlling AI in the cybersphere.
Kaspersky Lab has invited the United Nations Open-ended Working Group on Information and Communication Technology Security to develop principles for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of cybersecurity.
According to the document reviewed by Kommersant, AI has significant potential in the field of cybersecurity, helping to identify threats, respond to them, and analyze unusual activity in IT systems.
However, the use of machine learning technologies "not only has a positive impact on cybersecurity, but also creates risks."
In particular, it is indicated that systems based on machine learning may become outdated or function incorrectly if the input data changes dramatically.
A key element of the use of AI in the field of cybersecurity should be human control, including real-time access of experts to all data and processes, Kaspersky Lab claims. It is also recommended to minimize the use of personal data in the AI training process, making it as anonymous as possible. Within the framework of international AI regulation, the company offers training of systems based on "extensive data from open sources".
Kaspersky Lab said that in October, the company plans to hold a seminar on "Ethical Principles of using artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity" as part of the Internet Governance Forum, which will be held in Japan under the auspices of the United Nations.
