A previously convicted resident of the Ust-Bolsheretsky municipal district was sentenced in Kamchatka. He will spend more than 10 years in prison for stealing money from a bank card.
As reported to the IA "Kam 24" in the united press service of the courts of the Kamchatka Territory, one evening in February 2023, a previously repeatedly convicted resident of the Ust-Bolsheretsky district was drinking alcohol in the company of an acquaintance. Noticing that the Sberbank Online application was open on his friend's phone, he remotely issued a credit card in his name with a limit of 300,000 rubles and after the borrowed money was credited, he transferred 280,000 rubles to his account.
The actions of the local resident were classified as theft committed on a large scale from a bank account. Considering that the man had a criminal record, the court found his actions to be a repeat offense.
The Ust-Bolsheretsky District Court sentenced him to two years of imprisonment. Considering the previous sentence, the final sentence was 10 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony. The man was also banned from driving vehicles for 2 years and 6 months.
The sentence has not entered into legal force and can be appealed to the regional court.
