Positive Technologies has announced a new version of its industrial security product PT Industrial Security Incident Manager 4.4. The system now includes advanced monitoring of network communications at modern digital power facilities in accordance with the IEC-61850 standard, which is used to describe the reference automation system for designing modern digital substations and other power facilities. The product can detect abnormal network connections, failures, and errors in communication using the MMS and GOOSE protocols, indicating improper operation, incorrect hardware configuration, or attempts to compromise devices.
In addition, PT ISIM has a new MicroView Sensor (a simplified version of the popular NetView Sensor), which is installed on compact industrial PCs and is designed for use in small automation facilities: 6-10 kV substations, heating stations, workshops and engineering systems of data centers and buildings. The new sensor captures only key events, which reduces the cost of the product and allows you to use the system on low-cost fanless industrial PCs.

Updating previous versions is now completely centralized for all supported operating systems — no manual updates of additional modules are required.

- Improved algorithm for automatically combining interfaces into nodes, which works more stably in networks with complex structures

- Simplified transition to a detailed incident investigation in PT ISIM
