In Transcarpathia, police investigators, together with the criminal police of the Main Directorate and cyber police, stopped the illegal activities of a couple of cohabitants who lured money from citizens. During the investigation, it was established that the attackers created accounts on the Internet, where they allegedly sold military ammunition. The defendants offered their clients to buy tactical shoes, glasses and other military equipment, as well as goods that are relevant for the period of power outage, such as charging lamps and satellite modems.

The condition of sale was partial or full prepayment. After receiving money to the accounts, the defendants stopped contacting customers.

It is known that this group of malefactors has previously been detained by police officers for committing similar crimes. The materials of the criminal proceedings are currently under consideration in court.

Regarding new facts of fraud committed by the defendants, investigators of the Uzhgorod district Police Department, under the procedural leadership of the Uzhgorod District Prosecutor's Office, informed them of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, fraud committed on a large scale, or through illegal operations using electronic computing equipment. The court has already chosen preventive measures for the suspects - detention in custody with the possibility of paying almost 215 thousand UAH of bail to each of them.
