Employees of the UNC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Voronezh Region detained a 27-year-old local resident and his 26-year-old cohabitant, who were engaged in the distribution of strong and narcotic substances on a large scale remotely.
In the course of operational search activities at the place of residence of suspects, operatives found and seized prohibited substances. Among the seized items are 150 grams of strong substances, about 380 grams of marijuana, 160 grams of hashish and 180 grams of hashish oil, as well as 5.5 grams of mushrooms containing the banned substance psilocin. The police also seized scales, a vacuum cleaner, packaging materials, computer equipment and mobile phones used for trading.
Law enforcement officers found that in the shadow segment of the Internet, a man who organized a criminal business had two drug stores and access to them was open only through vpn services. In the same place, the attackers communicated with potential customers and reported the addresses of the locations of bookmark caches.
The investigator of the Department for Investigation of Crimes in the field of Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region initiated criminal proceedings against the suspects on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 3 of Article 234 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal trafficking of strong or toxic substances for sale" and Part 3 of Article 30, Part 4 of Article 228.1 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal sale or transfer of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or parts thereof containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances".
At the request of the investigation, the Central District Court of Voronezh chose a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody against the defendants.
For the commission of these illegal acts, the legislation provides for a maximum penalty of up to twenty years in prison.
