In the US state of Pennsylvania, the case of a group of carders consisting of five people is being prepared for transfer to the court. The York Daily Record reports that they specialized in identity theft and credit card theft, which allowed them to become two million dollars richer.
"This was a carefully thought-out scheme, during which fraudsters posed as bank employees and clients of financial organizations in order to obtain personal information. I thank everyone involved in the ongoing investigation, which began many months ago and involved a thorough review of bank records and transactions," State Attorney General Michelle Henry said in a statement.
The group was led by 22-year-old Tyreese Lewis. Three of his accomplices are the same age, and one is 19 years old. Lewis and his closest assistant would withdraw money from their accounts or use stolen debit card details to buy gift plastic. The rest of the participants spent their money in department stores, clothing stores, and gas stations. Now the head of the group is placed in jail without the possibility of bail.
