Assistants of telephone fraudsters were sent to jail in Karaganda, the press service of the Kazybekbiysky district Court reports.

According to the court materials, four people were charged with committing 11 episodes of fraud on a large and especially large scale. They were so-called droppers-they helped telephone scammers located outside of Kazakhstan. One of the convicts was detained at an ATM when he was withdrawing money from the victim.

The defendants bought bank cards from low-income citizens, to which they transferred the stolen money. They then withdrew cash from ATMs and shared it with their co-conspirators. There were also people in court who sold their cards. They participated as witnesses.

One of the convicts received six years of imprisonment, the second – five years, and two more-four years of imprisonment, taking into account the presence of young children.
