During searches in a residential complex in the center of Dnipro, the police identified 16 people who, under the guise of participating in online auctions, committed fraudulent actions and seized people's funds.
The group's activities were documented during September-October 2023 by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region together with the investigation department of the Dnipro District Police Department. On November 7, with the strong support of employees of the special purpose police regiment, investigative measures were held in the premises, during which law enforcement officers found 20 workplaces equipped with computer equipment with Internet access and communication facilities.
At the place of the search, there were 16 people who may be involved in the commission of fraudulent actions. During the searches, 30 laptops, 18 mobile phones, draft records, and 35 SIM cards of mobile operators were seized.
Currently, investigative measures are underway in the framework of criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud).
