I hope newbies don't continue to be scammed by a scam on a forum that I experienced yesterday.

I really like this forum and have learned a lot in the month or so I've been here, but I'm still a beginner and need a lot of help, which is probably why I got scammed.

Below I'll share the full story of how I was scammed yesterday, as well as summarize the usual tactics used by scammers to help newbies in the forums identify scammers.

Yesterday I was trying to work out how to cash out using a PAYPAL account purchased in the store. While searching the forum's for related articles I found articles posted by scammers. (as shown below)

The scammer in the article describes them as offering money transfer services and also selling CC, cloned cards, CVV, fullz and other services.

When I found this article among the Verified Service Category board, I thought it might be a reliable service provider.

So I contacted the scammer.

I explained to the scammer what I was doing and that I wanted to cash in on a purchased PAYPAL account, and the scammer said that he could provide a PAYPAL account and that it could be exchanged directly for BTC.

The scammer started selling me $100 for a PAYPAL log with $1.3K.

But I remained skeptical about logs that could be easily exchanged for BTC like that, so I offered to buy $50 worth of logs up front, and of course he agreed. So we started transferring the transaction.

Just as the transfer was completed, 2-3 strangers messaged me claiming they were vendors and kept asking what services I needed.

At this point I wasn't sure who they were and didn't reply to them, then they started sending me voice call invitations over and over.

I had begun to suspect they were a gang of scammers and asked the previous contact who still claimed not to know these people.

At this point the scammer made up all sorts of excuses and demanded that I was transferring $40 to him to purchase a better log.

Of course I turned him down, I was already pretty sure I had met a scammer.

So much for the whole process of being scammed, it's a sketchy, low-level scam. But I fell for it anyway. Who called me a rookie, right?

I was actually skeptical of this scammer from the beginning, but seeing that his article was posted in the [Verified Service Categoryv1]===[Cash Out Services board], I figured that since it was a service provider that had been verified by the forum, it shouldn't be a scammer.

I'm going to summarize some of the characteristics of scammers, so that even if they change their name later and continue to come to the forums to scam people, newbies should be able to identify them pretty easily.

1.Offering very cheap services, they claim to be able to help you with whatever needs you have.

2.From the first moment you speak to him, they are unusually enthusiastic.Often you are referred to as bro or family.

3.Constantly urging you to start working quickly and grabbing warp time to make money.

4.When you have any doubts, they start sending you invitations to voice calls over and over again.Of course I didn't answer it because my spoken English is poor.

5.Once you have successfully transferred money to the scammer, the scammer will immediately have an accomplice send you a message and claim that they can offer a cheaper service.
These accomplices have the same tactics as the scammers, constantly text messaging you, you barely have time to reply to them, and if you don't they likewise keep sending you invitations to voice calls.

I hope this helps some of the newbies on how to spot a scammer, there are a lot of scammers on this forum and even with verified posts there is a good chance you will run into a scammer.

I know the starting out stage as a rookie is the hardest, and I'm going through it right now, and that's exactly the stage where we're most likely to get scammed.

If there are any rookies who would like to learn and grow together you can contact me @voodoo9969

Lastly, I hope this forum can get better and better so that those scammers don't have a chance to come here and scam people.
