More recently, the world community was shocked by the news that at least 10 countries have used Pegasus spyware to hack smartphones of activists, journalists and businessmen, including even Pavel Durov.

Pegasus is able to access all the contents of a smartphone: calls, messages, track geolocation, turn on the camera and audio, and so on. And to infect a device, the target just needs to follow the link.

While it is highly unlikely that your phone was jailbroken by an NSO program, using the MVT utility (https://github.com/mvt-project/mvt) you can check your iOS or Android smartphone for signs of Pegasus.

First, you need to connect your smartphone to your computer and back up your system, and then run the utility from the command line. The system dump scan process will take no more than 10 minutes. You can find detailed instructions here (https://github.com/mvt-project/mvt).
