Today we will look at Shopify Fraud, and see the parameters that are worth paying attention to.

The verification department receives online notifications in the admin panel about how many users are currently surfing, what each of them is watching, what actions they are performing, and all user data.
Green - no risks, fraud will reduce the points a little. Displayed when the attribute value matches the majority of "legitimate" orders.
Gray - does not add or subtract fraud points. Essentially, additional information about the order. Always different, depends on which green attributes your order has, and which red.
Red - Extreme Risky. Displayed when the attribute value matches the majority of fraudulent orders.

You can use the following free tools to quickly find the geographic location, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and other information about a specific IP address:
2) They also have a check by phone number (which we write in the order) - they can call, ask about the order (easy questions). Secondly, they check the number by BG service (PS: I managed to find this site https://www.411.com/ )
Another service: https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/
They make sure that the phone number is that of the right person, and they can also check the billing address for the phone number.
3) Is the email address valid? (usually they have a recommendation on the forum about Google, like they look to see if there were leaks to this email)
4) shipping - billing - they look at the distance, if it's far away, they may not send it. The closer you use, the better. But many do not pay attention to this. The shop still warns about this in the documentation (for example, if you send from the USA to Canada, the shop will say that the order is fraudulent). They can open Google Maps and calmly look at the distance.
5) Don't forget about behavior in the shop. (Scoring based on the analysis of data transmitted by the browser for coincidence or non-compliance, Analysis of transition, depth and number of clicks).
6) Checks for accurate billing on CC.
On the Shopify platform, CH can install additional protection Nofraud, seon, fraud filter and others. Additional filters can include different parameters (checking the bin against blacklists, etc.)

Shopify Payments has two fraud filters you can enable: AVS and CVV:
- Address Verification System (AVS) – AVS compares the numeric portion of the customer's billing address and zip or postal code with information stored by the credit card issuer.
- Card Verification Value (CVV): The CVV is a three- or four-digit number on a customer's credit card. Credit card companies prohibit storing the CVV code, so asking for the CVV is a way to ensure that the card is physically in the customer's possession. Credit card information stolen from a merchant's database is also less useful because it should not contain CVV information.

Check IP address
The IP address from which the order was placed is a good indicator of potential fraud. Consider whether any of the following are true:- Is the client's IP address in a different area than it claims to be?
- Is the IP address of a hosting company?
- Is the IP address the IP address of the proxy service?
If you answered yes to any of the questions, you should probably contact the customer to verify the authenticity of the order.
