Technology vlogger René Rebbe, a Code Therapy host and freeware developer with 25 years of experience, was taken in handcuffs to a police station, where he spent an hour.

The reason for the detention was an anonymous denunciation.

The incident, as reported by the online publication Tom's Hardware Guide, occurred on Thursday, September 12.

The police came to the office of the Rene Rebbe right during a stream dedicated to the development of T2 - a specialized Linux distribution for embedded systems, one of the developer's projects (he has 19 projects on GitHub alone). René Rebbe was handcuffed and escorted for interrogation, which lasted an hour.

The reason for the harsh detention was an anonymous denunciation received by e-mail. The search for the attackers may take some time, but the measures of influence are questionable if the villains are not located in Germany.

As the Rebbe himself suggests, behind the incident is a certain Internet provocateur, or troll, who was banned from YouTube shortly before the ill-fated stream.

Also, according to a number of estimates, it could be one of the developers of the Rust programming language, with whom there were some disagreements, but, according to the author of the publication on Tom's Hardware Guide, Christian Harper, this is extremely unlikely.
