Roskomnadzor warned users about the appearance on the Internet of landing pages of sites of attackers who, under the guise of marketing sales as part of the Black Friday campaign, illegally collect personal data.

Criminals collect personal information, including name, phone number, mail address and bank details, in order to later use it to send spam or steal bank card data.

Experts recommend that users check the originality of the domain of the online store, since scammers register domains similar to the real site in order to mislead the buyer, and also use the logos of well-known brands participating in the promotion.

Users also need to check web pages for an SSL certificate. Pages with personal data entry use SSL encryption "https: //", so if a site of a large company begins with "http: //", then there is a reason to doubt its originality.
