What is email access
E-Mail access is just the access to an email through email and password.
Sometimes people deliver you cookies for the session because some E-Mail provider uses 2 factor verification.
Is email access important
Especially if you try to do an account take over, you should have email access. For example if you want to login into a website, the website sends an OTP (one time password) or a OTL (one time loginlink) so that you can proceed without password reset.
Can i reset passwords with email access
Definitely you can. There are just a few cases in which you become troubles like amazon, apple or paypal. Some specific websites know that hackers may have access to the email so they either use security questions, payment information or phone number verifications.
Is it possible to reset 2FA websites
Yes it is! There are lot of ways hackers explored to bypass even 2FA with cookies, sim card cloning, personal details harvesting etc. But note: You should only be clear about whether the effort you make for an account is worth it.
Some tips:
For Not Big Domains(not yahoo,apple etc.) use thunderbird to fetch mails
Search for informations in the emails for filling out a question or 2FA challenge (e.g.: phone number, name, card, ssn ....)
Some people using same passwords try them first at the shop then reset if not work
To get a billing address you need a shop where victim is registered, reset password and try to view the billing & payment informations
Export browser cookies (not private mode use default firefox!) after you did account take over
Use better passswords like from passgen.co
If you do ATO, change email, phone and address (people may try to identify their accounts using their fullname, street... address is not a must!)
Not all big domains like Yahoo, Google or Outlook are 100% crackable.... try it with no-name domains they usually have surprises
