It turns out that the group spent time online mtv.ru more than 365 days.

According to specialized Telegram channels, on August 19, the hosting platform mtw.ru became a victim of a cyberattack that resulted in the disclosure of personal information of customers. The pro-Ukrainian hacker group DumpForums allegedly published a dump of the database of clients of this site.

Among the stolen data that was relevant at the time of the attack are:
  • Full names and surnames of clients
  • Email addresses (more than 12 thousand unique addresses)
  • Phone numbers (more than 12 thousand unique numbers)
  • Password hashes
  • Logins (more than 100 thousand unique logins)
  • Passport data, including individual registration addresses
  • IP addresses, domains, and other related information.
This is not the first time that the DumpForums group has been active in relation to Russian hosting companies. In the previous cyberattack, they affected the hosting platform Reg.ru but then the information leak was insignificant.

Hackers claim that they have been and continue to be in the company's internal infrastructure for more than a year. The target of their attack is the data of companies-clients of the hosting platform, which, according to the attackers, has already accumulated more than 213 thousand. The published dump contains only information related to the program itself. mtw.ru.

The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) is conducting a check on reports of a leak of personal data of users of the hosting service mtw.ru. The press service of the department on August 21 told the Moscow City News Agency that as of 13:00 on August 21, 2023, Roskomnadzor did not receive notification of this incident from the operator.
