The company is strengthening security measures after the attack.

Dr.Web was subjected to a cyberattack, as a result of which hackers announced that its infrastructure had been hacked and more than 10 TB of data had been stolen. The attackers were reportedly on the company's network for more than a month before the attack was discovered. The hackers published a list of compromised resources, including various internal company systems such as anti-theft services, bug trackers, and databases.

As a result of the leak, the data of employees and users of the Dr.Web Anti-Theft product, as well as correspondence with technical support via the Telegram bot, could have been compromised. It is estimated that the data of more than 4.4 million of the company's customers, including both individuals and government agencies registered on various domains, was at risk.

Dr.Web confirmed the attack, stating that the incident occurred in September. However, she also stressed that the attack was identified and stopped in a timely manner: all compromised resources were disconnected from the network and thoroughly checked. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating, and Dr.Web refrains from providing detailed comments so as not to interfere with the investigation.

Representatives of the company also denied some of the information published in Telegram channels, claiming that user data was not affected, and there was no threat to the security of antivirus databases and software modules. In response to the incident, security measures were strengthened for all company resources, and the analysis of data posted on the network to identify possible leaks continues.
