The Sprut-Tel system analyzes publications and user reactions.
The Russian company Sprut-Inform has developed a solution for monitoring the Telegram messenger, aimed at searching for illegal content and preventing the recruitment of Russians in order to organize sabotage, RIA Novosti reported. The solution allows you to identify extremist materials, as well as record actions aimed at involving users in illegal actions.
The Sprut-Tel system monitors Telegram for keywords set by the customer and helps to find both extremist and destructive content in the messenger, as well as its authors. The solution generates a list of sources that will be searched. Then the database is filled with text data from channels, public chats and comments, which undergo analytical processing depending on the tasks set.
In addition, Sprut-Tel is able to install Telegram accounts that leave reactions under certain publications. In the future, the developers plan to add the function of analyzing statements in groups, as well as emojis set by a specific user. The user behavioral analysis function is also being tested, which will allow you to identify bots.
The co-founder of the company, Igor Bederov, noted that private channels and groups with destructive content appear every day. He also drew attention to the increase in the number of cases when minors are recruited through social networks and instant messengers to commit illegal acts in exchange for a monetary reward, such as arson of transformer substations or cell towers. "Law enforcement agencies need tools for monitoring social networks and instant messengers, which will allow them to quickly check content and in the future reduce the density of prohibited content on the Internet", he added.
