A citizen of Ukraine was sentenced for attacks on Russian infrastructure.

The Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don has sentenced Roman Nosachev, a resident of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), to two years in a penal colony for computer attacks on Russian Internet resources. This was reported in the press service of the FSB department for the region, writes TASS.

Nosachev was convicted under Part 1 of Article 274.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal influence on the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation). The maximum penalty under this article is up to five years in prison. In addition, the court imposed a fine of 600 thousand rubles in favor of the state.

According to the agency, the person involved, who lived in Khartsyzsk on the territory of the DPR, carried out attacks on Russian Internet resources and distributed a manual on conducting DDoS attacks with links to malware.
