The defendant offered on the Internet for money the services of swatting (fake messages about an emergency) and doxing (publication of a person's personal information on the Internet without his consent). Police officers of Nikolayevshchina exposed the malefactor and withdrew proofs of illegal activity.

Cyber police operatives together with the investigators of OP No. 2 of the Mykolaiv regional police Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Mykolaiv region, with the participation of criminal analysis specialists of the regional police headquarters under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv District Prosecutor's Office, exposed a minor resident of the city of Kamenskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region, who earned money by sending false messages about mining (swatting).

In addition, the attacker carried out doxing for money. Cyber police found that the minor offered to find information about the person and her relatives from open sources in messengers, as well as to carry out cyberbullying of the victim.

In the future, the teenager sent clients reports on the "work" done. To hide his location, the defendant first indicated the cost of services in Russian rubles, but later provided customers with the details of Ukrainian drop cards for calculation in hryvnia equivalent.

According to the investigation, in May of this year the guy sent to e-mail of one of educational institutions of Nikolaev the message about mining with offensive content from someone else's name.

The police checked the territory and found no dangerous substances or explosive devices.

Investigators of OP No. 2 of the Mykolaiv district Police Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Mykolaiv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 259 (Deliberately false information about a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property objects) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Despite attempts at anonymization, the police established the location of the person involved and conducted a court-sanctioned search at his place of residence. Law enforcement officers seized computer equipment.

When examining the devices, the teenager's involvement in the "mining" of the Nikolaev lyceum was confirmed. Groups in Telegram and Discord (a system that, in particular, supports the function of online communication) were also identified, in which the attacker accepted orders for sending false messages about mining and published a price list for his "services"for a monetary reward.

Investigative actions are continuing to check the involvement of the attacker in other similar crimes and identify his possible accomplices. A version of cooperation with agents of the aggressor country is being worked out.

* Swatting is a criminal practice where someone deliberately informs the police about a fake emergency in order to provoke the dispatch of emergency services and special units to the victim's address.

* Doxing (English doxing or doxxing) is the publication on the Internet of a person's personal information (for example, address, phone numbers, financial data) without her consent, for the purpose of harassment or obtaining a certain benefit.
