When founding a carding forum like Carder.market, one cannot help but mention the progenitors of carding.

The article is of a historical nature, for those who are not aware and have not heard about the origins of carding. (PS Those in the know, don't rush to write with wet rags and don't rush to unsubscribe).

Why Carders Planet actually?

The history of Carderplanet can be started in 1990 (yes, carding is older than you =) – the time when such a concept as carding first began to emerge in Russia and the CIS countries. Bourgeois stores at that time were just beginning to experiment with credit card payments, and the protection was at the most basic level. You could generate a credit card number, enter it in a special field, and a couple of weeks later the ordered goods would arrive by mail. True, few people did this – the information was closed, and the number generator programs were kept in private access.

By the mid-90s, the topic was covered up because the Russian people were overusing generated cards. America blocked the sending of any goods to the Russian Federation. Then hackers came to the rescue, breaking the protection of online stores and collecting data from their customers' cards. All this stuff was transferred to carders, who cashed out the money through their channels. Soon the information leaked to the press and journalists told the world about the new phenomenon, and the opportunity to quickly get rich attracted crowds of students. It was not difficult even for beginners to fool American stores and buy goods using drops. The freebies blew the roof off, people began to buy en masse.

Formation of "Families"

In 1997, a hierarchy of sorts was formed in the carding community. Groups emerged that stood out from the rest in terms of both level and scale of their activities, a shift in carding occurred, and the first thoughts about creating entire forums appeared. The concept of "family" was formed - a structure of people who had worked together for a long time and completely trusted each other.

Often the "families" were equated to a kind of mafiosi

The only thing missing was a decent place to communicate and share experiences. Of course, carder.org became it – one of the first carding sites.
But its unstable operation and little useful information were not interesting.

And soon this pushed Russian carders to found their own resource in Russian. Thus www.carder.ru appeared, the father of which was already well-known at that time Script.

After the PR in the magazine "Hacker", the site quickly gained popularity and reached 600 unique visitors per day. Script wanted to create the best site about carding, and for a while he succeeded. But after six months, the fame of this place went beyond its borders, and the admin was bombarded with demands from all over the world to close the shop. Carder.ru was closed, but not for long. Thanks to the support of friends, Script decided to revive the carding forum, but in a new guise. The domain carderplanet.com was purchased and a new forum was opened, where the entire elite of the carding world will soon gather.

The first years of the "planet" can be called its "golden time". There were practically no lamers on the forum, everyone discussed new carding opportunities, shared experiences and discoveries with each other. Those who posted useful articles in free access quickly gained authority, the authors were awarded honorary titles. Various services began to appear on the forum.

Boa Factory services were very popular at one time. Boa was one of the family's close associates, but he used his own website www.boafactory.net instead of a forum to advertise his services. Boa offered to forge almost any document with quality indistinguishable from the real thing. The company even stamped entry and exit stamps from neutral countries so that the passport would not look new. It was only possible to find out that the passport was fake after a thorough check of the number. The cost of services varied significantly depending on complexity: for example, the price for a Russian passport was around $400, while for an Irish passport it reached $25,000.

In addition to document forgery, boafactory was engaged in the sale of credit card dumps, equipment for working with real plastic, ready-made "naked" credit cards with a hologram and a signature strip. Due to low prices and professionalism, this office was considered the best of its kind and was used by thousands of people. But the history of Boa Factory came to an end with the arrest of Boa himself (real name - Roman Vega) in Cyprus in the summer of 2004. The news thundered throughout the forum and gave rise to rippers (scammers), who immediately began to offer their services for document processing, dumps, etc.

There were services for selling various information (credit cards, PayPal and e-bay accounts, bank accounts, etc.), for providing security (VPN, socks and proxies), software for sending spam and carrying out DDoS attacks. The planet gave carders everything they needed: information, tools, services. It is not surprising that for many of them it became a second home.

Time for change

In 2004, Script announced to the forum members that he was leaving, which was a shocking event. Perhaps the reason for this was the great popularity of Nick Script and the work of the special services to catch and arrest "especially presumptuous youngsters." The site lost Boa and Script...

With the change of administration, the atmosphere began to change. From a private forum and all "its own" carderplanet turned into a kind of bazaar, where everyone and their dog went (the number of users exceeded 7000). Many lamers appeared, trying to find that very "Blo button". Together with them, the planet was flooded with a wave of scammers, who tried to profit from these very lamers.

The last days

The post by the forum administrator King_Arthur on July 28, 2004 became a blow to the gut for the planet's oldfags.

"Good day, dear and, in a sense, dear forum members. So, it's time to tell you some not-so-good news - it's time to close the forum...".

Few could accept this... People began to suggest ways to save the forum. Some offered money. But King Arthur indicated the reason quite clearly - the planet was already under the surveillance of all sorts of special services and it was too dangerous to continue working.

The forum lasted for another 2 weeks. Visitors used this time to say goodbye to the planet and each other, exchange contacts, discuss the future, share some things that they had previously kept private. Carders had fallen on hard times. Some left the trade completely, others moved to other forums that seemed like pale copies of the old planet. Thus, the progenitor of carders - the CardersPlanet forum - came to an end.

Very interesting History. Thanks for sharing. :)
