So, this is the second Browser review that I have ever done. While most of this is based on Privacy, I will be taking speed into consideration. This will be excluding Tor, as we all know that Tor is the best Browser for Privacy. This list is meant to inform you on what to use when you cannot use Tor. They will be separated into Chromium based, and FireFox based.
Chromium Based:
Brave: This is the best Chromium based browser. It is very fast, has built in privacy, and is super easy to harden and use. When I am doing school and need a teams web app, I use Brave.
Bromite: (Android Only): This is a very good browser that I use on my phone. It is completely Open Sourced, it comes with built in privacy, and is generally a really good option.
Chromium: I used to use chromium. It is very fast, and is good for anyone who likes google chome and hates Google. Once you harden it, it can be just as good as Brave, however it does not come with any built in privacy.
Viladi: It is certainly better than chrome, but it is owned by a advertising company and collects a lot of telementarry data.
Microsoft Edge: This is the first of the browsers that I would NOT EVER recommend. While it is again, better than chrome. It comes with no built in privacy and Daddy Bezos is going to spy on you. It is however, quite fast.
Opera: Not much better than chrome, it is faster though. Again, it has no built in privacy and you are selling your data.
Google Chrome: This is the worst browser, it uses a LOT of your computer's resources. It collects more data than fucking spyware. Never use this.
FireFox Based:
LibreWolf: This is currently what I use. Unlike most FireFox forks, all of the code is up to date. The only difference is, there is no Telementary data being harvested, and the settings are already hardened. Once you install a couple extensions, it is the most private browser other than Tor.
GNU IcePanda: While the Code isn't fully up to date, it is the Browser that ships with the most privacy out of the box. The only reason that it is below LibreWolf is because the code isn't up to date.
Basilisk: While this browser is pretty private out of the box, it is based on old code and is SUPER unstable.
WaterFox: While it is pretty private out of the box as well, it freezes and is not very stable. It is also built on old code.
FireFox: While it is up to date, it collects Telementary Data, and is slower than some of the browsers on the list.
PaleMoon: It collects no telementary data, but it is based on ancient Firefox code and is not very secure.
So, I hope that you have found your browser of choice, and maybe you can recommend me more browsers.
