Brazilian criminals hacked into the phones of Apple fans, bypassing the security system, and used their bank accounts.

For a long time, law enforcement officers could not understand how the criminals managed to do what they did. However, then the police realized that the reason for the difficulties was the fact that they treated Apple devices as the safest, but as soon as they stopped treating them that way, things got off the ground.

São Paulo police arrested one of the criminals, who told her how easy it really was to pull off a criminal scheme. He stated that he was able to jailbreak iPhones ranging from iPhone 5 to iPhone 11.

According to the head of the head of the police department of São Paulo Fabiano Barbeiro (Fabiano Barbeiro), to gain access to the contents of the victim's mobile device, the criminals needed her SIM card.

The attackers inserted the SIM card from the stolen iPhone into their own and studied the victim's social networks (Instagram and Facebook) in order to find her email address, which is usually also used for Apple ID. Victims used this email address and phone number to reset their Apple ID password. After downloading the contents of the cloud storage to a new device, the criminals looked for materials in it that would allow them to gain access to bank accounts, and as a rule, they found them.

Having received all the necessary information, the attackers returned the SIM card to the victim's phone and handed the device over to the gang member responsible for accessing the bank accounts.
