Everything flows, everything is updated, and the major telecommunications giant AT&T, leaked (it turns out, long before it became mainstream) and updated the bins in hacker privates.

The company confirmed the data compromise, which affected 73 million current and former customers, although initially categorically denied involvement in the incident, since there was no evidence of hacking into their systems.

However, AT&T still acknowledged that the leaked data actually belongs to its customers and dates back to 2019 or earlier.

In total, about 7.6 million are attributed to current customers and 65.4 million to former customers.

In addition, information about passwords was disclosed, which significantly increases the security risk for the accounts of affected customers.

Moreover, back in 2021, the leak was reported by Shiny Hunters, and in 2024, another seller posted a full dump of the leaked database on the darknet.

The guilty plea was followed by a password reset for the current 7.6 million customers, and AT&T went down, missing another hook on its "impeccable" reputation.
