applying for a new credit card

i havent seen a thread where someone talks about applying for a new credit card
has someone done this lately? any experienced members at this?
since many ssn/dob vendors can also run a credit report, you can know with which ssn to apply with for a guaranteed approval on the card. but youll have to get your card sent to another place (Drop); can it still be approved if you apply for the card to a different address than the ssn owner's billing address?
is it better to apply by mail, phone or internet?

phone. If your smart+ have the cash, get a "Secured Credit Card". This will eventually get your 'drop address' added to the credit report. Similarly, make a fake id w/ marks info and open up a phone account/ utilites, etc. (revolving bill).....

there are other ways to get a drop address put on a credit report.

alright, thanks. but is it possible to do it without having the drop address on public records before applying for the card?

Phone is so much easier. Don't be nervous though or else they'll suspect somehting

Lets say i have method to change address..and i think i do...how do i check that it was actually updated in the system? do i need to do a credit report again or just call them in a few weeks and find out?
