Experts noted an increase in the total number of cyber attacks by 11% compared to the previous year. The largest number of incidents are related to malware infection through visits to sites with malicious content and phishing attacks. In addition, according to the report, 72% of companies were found to have critical vulnerabilities on the perimeter, which can serve as an entry point for an attacker into the company's infrastructure.
More than 90% of companies in 2023 experienced leaks of corporate accounts. In 48% of cases, the account is mentioned in conjunction with the password and in 44% - in conjunction with the hash, which can help attackers compromise the account. It is also noted that 93% of companies that ordered external threat monitoring service from Jet Infosystem are mentioned on darknet forums and in telegram channels of hacker topics, which indicates the interest of intruders. Especially acute in 2023 was the problem of intruders penetration through contractors. According to experts, the reason for every fifth significant incident that was investigated was hacking of an IT contractor.
