A resident of American Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) was sentenced to two years in federal prison by a court in Wilmington (Delaware). As Fox 29 clarifies, Mamadou Bah, 39, came up with a scheme that allowed him to steal $700,000 worth of gift cards and merchandise.

Bach committed his crimes between May 2018 and June 2020. Both chain and small stores with household goods became its victims. In total, during this time, he conducted more than a thousand different transactions using a fictitious name.

The investigation found that Bach paid for gift cards and merchandise using a barcode on his phone that was linked to fraudulent credit cards. It is specified that trade enterprises in 21 states suffered from his actions.
